It’s here – the new Twitter party for all things personalised and bespoke
For a while now, I have been participating in various Twitter parties using a pre-defined hashtag to join conversations around specific themes or topics.
I could spend all day and all night on Twitter engaging in chats and looking at what people share, but as with everyone, time is precious, so I have to pick my favourites:
- Weekdays 12noon -1pm #UKBizLunch
- Mondays 8-9pm #CreativeBizHour
- Tuesdays 8-9pm #UKEtsyHour
- Wednesdays 7.30 – 9.30pm #HandmadeHour
- Wednesdays 9-10pm #WeddingHour
- Thursdays 8.30-9.30pm #RugbyHour
- Sundays 7-8pm #CraftHour
- Sundays 8-9pm #BabyHour
The great thing I have found by participating in these Twitter parties is that you can learn a lot. Sometimes, people will flat out offer you advice, but sometimes you can just watch what other people are sharing and how they promote their content. What’s more, it can be a great way to network and find other businesses either locally or in your industry. For example, I have linked up with printers, wedding planners, framers, fellow crafties, and also local business networking groups who chat and interact on a regular basis.
Obviously, I am in the game of promoting my prints and Etsy listings, so these are the Twitter parties that I consider to be the most interesting and relevant to my products, but there is almost certainly one or many Twitter hours going on that you can get involved with. I found this kick ass list of Twitter hours, so why not take a look yourself.
During my time using these chats, I see lots of conversations around improving performance on Etsy and showing off gorgeous handmade items, but after a bit of research I soon found that there was nothing exactly set up to share just lovely bespoke and personalised items.
*Drum roll please*
Introducing the new #BespokeHour Twitter party!
Starting TONIGHT, I have set up the #BespokeHour hashtag for people of my ilk to share and chat about their own bespoke and personalised items – either those they are selling, thinking of selling or just love.
So here’s what you need to do be involved:
- Be on Twitter on TUESDAY evenings between 8-9pm
- Share content related to bespoke items, personalised products or commissions
- Be sure to include the hashtag #BespokeHour in any tweets
- If you are feeling kind, you could also tag @PrintPersonally which will guarantee an RT
I will try to RT as many tweets that use the hashtag throughout the hour so that you get a bit of extra promotion out of it too.
And that’s it! Really simple.
I hope to ‘meet’ lots of you lovely creative types and see your beautiful bespoke products showing up throughout the hour, and hopefully you will start to see lots of new followers, RTs and like notifications too.
See you there.
