I’m in the mood for love – Valentine’s gift ideas
Once January hits and the decorations come down, it’s time for Christmas to end (boo hoo), but before you know it, the shops are starting to fill up with all things red and gooey…
Whether you buy into it or not, it’s time for Valentine’s Day gifts and for that loving feeling to take over – even if it is just for one day.
For a lot of people, Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean much. They see it as “just another day for card shops to make money”, but for others, it is a really special day to make an extra point of showing your loved one how much they mean to you.
I am not for one second suggesting that we shouldn’t all be doing that every other day of the year, but just that when 14th February comes along, it is a good excuse to make just that little bit more effort.
And it doesn’t have to be expensive or extravagant.
Simple ideas to make someone smile this Valentine’s Day include, getting up 5 minutes early to deliver a cuppa in bed, popping a cute note into their bag or lunch for them to find later in the day, or even just surprising them with an impromptu takeaway so that no one has too cook that night.
So whichever end of the Valentine’s spectrum you find yourself on, just remember to tell your significant other just how much they mean to you.
If you fancied some personalised unframed artwork, I’ve just added some new designs to the Etsy shop for thoughtful and non-soppy declarations of love.
